Getting to Maastricht
By train
Maastricht is well-connected by train. From Utrecht, the journey takes about 2 hours, and approximately 2.5 hours from Amsterdam. Maastricht Central Station is within easy walking distance of the historic center.
By car
You can reach Maastricht via the A2 or A79 highways. Parking in the city center can be expensive, but free parking is available at P+R Maastricht Noord, from which you can easily reach the city center by bus or train.
Getting around in Maastricht
Maastricht’s compact city center is best explored on foot. Cycling is also popular thanks to excellent bike lanes and bike rental facilities at the station. For longer distances, Arriva buses provide convenient citywide transportation.
