Getting to Schiermonnikoog
Ferry

By train
Take the train to Groningen station, then transfer to bus 163 to Lauwersoog.
By car
Drive to Lauwersoog via Groningen (N361). Visitors cannot take cars to the island, but parking is available near the ferry terminal in Lauwersoog.

Schiermonnikoog is best explored by foot or bicycle; bike rentals are available in the village and near the ferry terminal. For longer distances, a local bus service connects with ferry arrival and departure times.
